[soundtrack : Trio Mandili - ‘Migoravs uremi’]
I often find myself doing small-batch production of parts. To avoid having to mark every piece it’s often expedient to use stop blocks.
One problem is that swarf tends to gather in the corner, and can be difficult to dislodge regardless of how hard you try to blow it away.
I guess you could keep a suitable, small brush at hand and coax the little bastards out of there, or blast them with compressed air, but an easier solution is to chamfer your stop block. Now the debris has a small tunnel it can escape through.
I keep a pair on a shelf by the drilling-bench and another by the chop saw.
