Walter - what a wonderful article and I now know why your photos keep turning up in my feed rather than the usual wood related thoughts. Many congratulations on the daily photo habit - I tried that and lasted only 7 days - maybe January was a bad time to start on reflection.
You are a poet who creates in wood, words and now pictures (some of yours are really rather good). And an inspiration - or perhaps my guilty alter ego as I sit here, evening beer in hand and look out over the sea and the evening sun and excuse myself for my neglect of both time spent with wood and words… thank you for sharing. I had the opposite reaction to the photo. Made me angry. I relate to yourself deprecation. I had to learn to be concise with words. Same with Wood.
