I have a noº 6 woodriver and I think it is made in the same factory as the juuma. You've fettled yours to a much higher degree than I have and you've turned it into a very nice tool. I'm going to check the mouth on mine though as either that or the frog are not quite right. The iron always has to be all the way to one side in order to get it to sit parallel with. the mouth. It doesn't cause any issues, it just bugs me every time I think of it. Which is precisely why I mentioned it.
How long did you spend invest into this tool with your own time?
Awesome!
Interested review. How good is edge retention? Does it dull quickly? For the price, it seems like a good deal.
The edge retention (judging by my two smaller Juuma planes that I've had for a coupla years) is good.

I didn't time myself, but I'd guess a couple of lazy hours on a sunday afternoon. Yes, that's how exhilarating my life is.
Aha, I've discovered the source of the mysterious uptick in the traffic onto my webliog Well done, sir
